Main-Type P

Main-Type P

The function is similar to that of a Ktype but the oil and gas chamber is on the opposite side. This means that the spring is rigid up to the mechanical strength of the spring in compressed
direction. In extended direction, the lokking is rigid until the the force of the pressure on the floating piston is exceeded (locking force). If this occurs, the piston rod inserts a little bit which may look like a overload safety device.

Description

Rigid locking in compression, relatively rigid in extension

The function is similar to that of a K type, but with the oil and gas chamber on the opposite side. This means that the spring is rigid up to the mechanical strength of the spring in the compression direction. In the extension direction, the locking is rigid until the force of the pressure on the floating piston is exceeded (locking force).

What is possible:
Force:
40-2600 N
Locking force in push direction:
7.000 N – 10.000 N
Stroke:
30-300 mm
Diameter
cylinder/piston rod:

*Index Number

With the index no. – only necessary for repeating orders – we can reproduce exactly the same gas spring which has already been produced. You will receive the index no. with the order confirmation / invoice.

** Attention: Calculation of extended length

EL1
The total length is calculated when the piston rod is extended. Please add the length of the connecting parts in order to find out the total length.

EL2
length EL2 = measured without hinge eyes and threads.
